Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 28, 2026
A plain-language summary of what happens to your data on circadianhub.com. The full policy follows.
01Introduction
CircadianHub (circadianhub.com, "we", "the Site") is a free sleep calculator offering bedtime, wake-up, nap and shift work planning. This policy explains what information is processed when you use the Site, and the choices you have. The Site serves visitors worldwide, including the EU/EEA, the UK and Switzerland.
02Information We Collect
The calculators and the Jet Lag Planner run entirely in your browser. The times, cities and options you enter are not sent to our servers. We do not ask you to create an account and we do not collect your name or email through the calculator.
The Site stores a few small items in your browser's local storage: your color theme, your cookie choice, and, if you use the Jet Lag Planner, the trip details you last entered so the form is filled in when you come back. These stay on your device and are never sent to us; you can clear them with the Planner's Reset button or by clearing your browser's site data. Our host may keep standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type and request time) for security and operation.
If you consent to advertising, Google and its partners may collect your IP address, cookie identifiers, device information and approximate location, as described below.
03Cookies and Web Beacons
Third parties, including Google, may place and read cookies on your browser, or use web beacons to collect information as a result of ad serving on this website.
Strictly necessary storage (your theme and cookie choice) does not require consent. Saved Jet Lag Planner inputs are stored only on your device at your own request and are used solely to pre-fill the form. Advertising cookies are used only if you accept them where consent is required.
04Google AdSense and Third-Party Advertising
This website uses Google AdSense, a third-party advertising service provided by Google. Google uses cookies (including the DoubleClick cookie) to serve ads to you based on your visit to this website and other websites on the Internet. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet. You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings (https://www.google.com/settings/ads). Alternatively, you can opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising by visiting www.aboutads.info.
05How We Use Your Information
- To run and secure the Site, and remember your theme, cookie choice and Jet Lag Planner entries on your device.
- To show ads that keep the Site free, personalised only where you have agreed.
- To measure ads and prevent fraud (carried out by Google and its partners).
Our legal bases under the GDPR are legitimate interests (operating and securing the Site) and your consent (advertising cookies).
06Your Rights (GDPR / CCPA)
If you are in the EU/EEA or UK, you have the following rights:
- Right to access your personal data
- Right to rectification
- Right to erasure ("right to be forgotten")
- Right to restrict processing
- Right to data portability
- Right to object to processing
- Right to withdraw consent at any time
- Right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (in Finland, the Office of the Data Protection Ombudsman / Tietosuojavaltuutetun toimisto, tietosuoja.fi)
California residents have rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including to know what personal information is collected, to request deletion, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell personal information ourselves; ad-related sharing happens through Google's services, and you can opt out using the links in section 07. Because we hold little personal data, most requests about ad data are handled by Google. Contact us using the details in section 12 and we will help.
07How to Opt Out of Personalized Ads

- About Ads (DAA): https://www.aboutads.info

You can also reject non-essential cookies with "Cookie settings" in the footer, or block cookies in your browser settings.
08Third-Party Vendors and Their Privacy Policies
Google and its advertising partners process data under their own policies. See How Google uses information from sites that use its services and Google's Privacy Policy. We do not control third-party cookies, and you should review each vendor's policy.
09Data Retention
Local storage items stay in your browser until you clear them. Server logs are kept only as long as our host retains them for security purposes. Retention of advertising data is governed by Google's policies.
10Children's Privacy
The Site is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 where local law sets a higher age), and we do not knowingly collect their personal data. If you believe a child has provided data, contact us and we will act on it.
11Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed. Material changes will be reflected on this page.
